Myticas's direct client based out of Chicago, IL is currently seeking a Power BI Developer for a Contract position.
Top Skill Requirement:
- Understand business requirements, mockups, data sources and translate/interpret them into meaningful KPI/Insights.
- Experience in design and develop Power BI Dashboard, report visuals, dataflows, and datasets.
- Experience in executing the data analysis, performing data validation, and administer dashboard deployments in Power BI Platform.
- Ability to perform complex problem solving, critical thinking and reasoning to identify solutions.
Job Description:
- Develop and maintain executive and enterprise level analytics dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Experience pulling data into Power BI tools from one or more database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server), data warehouse, enterprise gateway and working experience with large data sets.
- Create and maintain Power Pivot models, datasets, and data flows using best practices.
- Demonstrated proficiency defining custom dimensions, defining parameters, writing DAX queries, creating advanced UI/UX in Power BI reports, and tuning performance for a best user experience and adoption.
- Possess thorough theoretical and practical understanding of Business Intelligence solutions delivery and associated platforms (Power BI preferred)
- Recommend and own improvements to analytics, ability to move fast and be responsive to changing business needs.
- Deep understanding of meta data management, data dictionary, row level security, catalog, user training, and lineage documentation.
- Perform unit testing to validate the accuracy of the metric, business logic calculations, and data integrity.
- Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advances the business.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with 7+ years experience.
- 7+ Years of experience in creating dashboard and scorecards using Power BI and Power BI Desktop
- 5+ Years of experience in data modeling, dataset using Power Query and Power Pivot.
- 5+ years of experience writing DAX queries.
- 5+ years of experience using databases (Oracle, SQL server)
