The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing high-complexity IT projects, with a strong focus on cloud environments and healthcare-related initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of IT project management experience.
- Proven experience managing high-complexity projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Proficiency with dashboard tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field with relevant IT experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Additional Technical Expertise:
- 5+ years of experience with Azure, AWS, MuleSoft, DevOps, and IT Service Management (ITSM).
- Experience working closely with solution architects and cloud architects.
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure and operational projects.
- Experience managing healthcare IT projects.
- Familiarity with helpdesk systems and managing helpdesk teams.
Job Summary:
The Healthcare IT Project Manager will lead and manage high-complexity IT projects within the Indiana Health Department. This role requires a strong background in project management, cloud technologies, and healthcare-specific IT solutions. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering innovative IT solutions while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage high-complexity IT projects within the health department.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, cloud architects, and DevOps engineers.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage project risks, issues, and change requests to ensure successful delivery.
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Coordinate with the helpdesk team to ensure smooth project implementation and support.
- Implement ITSM best practices and manage ITSM projects.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor project performance.
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations and standards.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Provide oversight for a team of approximately 12 individuals.
- Manage large-budget projects and ensure effective financial tracking.
- Work closely with internal and external partners, as well as internal teams.
- Collaborate with the PMO office to ensure compliance with PMO guidelines and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and executive leadership, providing comprehensive status reports.
