Myticas's direct client, based in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Healthcare IT Project Manager (PMP) for a remote contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing high-complexity IT projects, with a strong focus on cloud environments and healthcare-related initiatives.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of IT project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing high-complexity projects and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Proficiency with dashboard tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field with relevant IT experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Additional Technical Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience with Azure, AWS, MuleSoft, DevOps, and IT Service Management (ITSM).
  • Experience working closely with solution architects and cloud architects.
  • In-depth understanding of infrastructure and operational projects.
  • Experience managing healthcare IT projects.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk systems and managing helpdesk teams.

Job Summary:

The Healthcare IT Project Manager will lead and manage high-complexity IT projects within the Indiana Health Department. This role requires a strong background in project management, cloud technologies, and healthcare-specific IT solutions. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering innovative IT solutions while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage high-complexity IT projects within the health department.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, cloud architects, and DevOps engineers.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and change requests to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Coordinate with the helpdesk team to ensure smooth project implementation and support.
  • Implement ITSM best practices and manage ITSM projects.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to monitor project performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health department regulations and standards.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Provide oversight for a team of approximately 12 individuals.
  • Manage large-budget projects and ensure effective financial tracking.
  • Work closely with internal and external partners, as well as internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the PMO office to ensure compliance with PMO guidelines and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and executive leadership, providing comprehensive status reports.
