The recruitment team at Myticas Consulting is looking to hire a Platform Engineering Lead/Manager for our highly technical global industry-leading business-to-business client based in Chicago.
This Infrastructure Platform Manager position is responsible for the management and administration of networking, servers, and storage lifecycle management.
Duties:
- Develop and manage lifecycle plan for data center equipment: core networking, compute, storage, and backup environment
- Manage all aspects of platform team members including hiring, career development and terms
- Work with InfoSec team (Information Security) to ensure all systems are compliant and address vulnerabilities
- Work with IT Engineering Team to implement new tech
- Responsible for tactical management for the Platform's budget
- Responsible for setting strategy for the platform team
- Build and maintain vendor partnerships
- Present at executive-level briefings
- Request and seek executives for capital funding for worthy Platform projects
Requirements:
- 7+ years IT-related experience
- 5+ years of relevant data center experience
- Experience with managing or leading teams in a 50 plus site network
- BS, Computer Science, or other IT-related degree highly preferred
