Antenna Design Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Antenna Design Engineer to join our cutting-edge wireless systems team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of advanced antenna solutions for 5G, 6G, and next-generation communication networks. This position involves close collaboration with system architects, RF engineers, and product development teams to ensure antenna performance meets stringent requirements for base stations, small cells, and advanced wireless platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Design, simulate, and optimize antenna systems for sub-6 GHz and mmWave frequency bands, ensuring compliance with performance, efficiency, and reliability requirements.

Conduct electromagnetic simulations using industry-standard tools (e.g., CST, HFSS, ADS) to validate antenna concepts and designs.

Support integration of antenna subsystems into radio units, ensuring proper interaction with RF front-end and baseband modules.

Develop and test beamforming and MIMO antenna systems for advanced wireless applications.

Perform lab measurements, OTA testing, and field trials to validate antenna designs in real-world environments.

Collaborate with mechanical engineers to address structural, thermal, and environmental considerations in antenna design.

Generate technical documentation, test reports, and contribute to patent filings.

Stay current with emerging technologies in 5G/6G, phased arrays, and advanced materials to drive innovation in antenna design.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in antenna or RF design, preferably within the telecommunications or semiconductor industry.

Strong expertise with EM simulation tools (CST, HFSS, FEKO, ADS, etc.).

Solid understanding of RF fundamentals, propagation, impedance matching, and antenna measurement techniques.

Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and characterizing antennas in lab and field conditions.

Familiarity with beamforming, MIMO systems, and advanced wireless communication technologies.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have

Experience with 5G/6G radio access networks, massive MIMO, or mmWave technologies.

Knowledge of PCB layout techniques for RF/antenna integration.

Experience with anechoic chamber testing, OTA setups, and system-level validation.
