We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects that align with organizational objectives and government standards. The Project Manager will ensure integration across technical solutions, monitor industry trends, and support the adoption of emerging technologies while managing resources, schedules, risks, and stakeholder communication. This role requires Canadian Government Secret Clearance at minimum.


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Strategy: Develop project plans, frameworks, and delivery strategies to meet business and application requirements.

  • Policy & Compliance: Identify policies, standards, and requirements that guide project execution and ensure compliance.

  • Solution Analysis: Coordinate the evaluation of alternative technology solutions to resolve business challenges.

  • Integration Oversight: Ensure project deliverables support the integration of all aspects of technology solutions.

  • Trend Awareness: Monitor industry and government technology trends to ensure projects remain aligned with future directions.

  • Innovation Support: Provide direction on incorporating emerging technologies within project scope.

  • Impact Assessment: Oversee impact analysis of proposed technology or project changes on timelines, scope, and resources.

  • Team Support: Collaborate with technical teams to ensure projects leverage existing infrastructure effectively.

  • Quality Assurance: Review designs, deliverables, and outcomes to ensure adherence to standards and recommend improvements.

  • Executive Reporting: Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership and project stakeholders.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Coach, mentor, and guide project teams to foster collaboration, accountability, and knowledge transfer.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, Program Manager, or in a leadership role overseeing technology projects.

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, solution delivery, and enterprise systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders in government or regulated environments.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and IT governance standards.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience engaging senior leadership.

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building capabilities.

  • Must hold active Canadian Government Secret Clearance.


Preferred Skills

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.

  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.

  • Experience working on Government of Canada IT projects or in regulated industries.

  • Knowledge of compliance, data security, and federal IT standards.
