Our Montreal based client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Back Office / Administration) to support a loan servicing solution replacement initiative within a financial services environment.
This role will focus on optimizing administrative, accounting, and financing processes (loans, equity, guarantees, grants), while acting as a key liaison between business, finance, and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to financing administration and accounting processes
- Evaluate current state processes and design optimized target state (BPMN / process mapping)
- Develop user stories and functional requirements
- Define UAT strategy and develop UAT test cases
- Support system selection/procurement activities for financial platforms
- Collaborate with IT teams on solution design and implementation
- Participate in testing, validation, and deployment support
- Analyze financial transactions and their impact on accounting and reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and act as liaison across teams
Required Experience
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst within financial services / banking environments
- Deep understanding of financing products (loans, equity, guarantees, grants)
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial flows
- Experience with ERP / financial systems (e.g., FIS, Temenos, Oracle, Dynamics)
- Experience with process mapping (BPMN) and tools such as Visio
- Proven experience developing user stories and UAT documentation
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
- Knowledge of financial regulations and internal controls
