- Lead enterprise-scale application rationalization initiatives using the 6R framework (rehost, replatform, refactor, rearchitect, repurchase, retire)
- Develop and manage application rationalization scorecards, including scoring models, weighting, and governance
- Conduct application portfolio assessments across large environments, aligning to business and technical objectives
- Segment applications into complexity tiers (low/medium/high) and define appropriate migration strategies
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews to capture business context, usage patterns, and criticality
- Perform end-to-end dependency mapping (application-to-application, infrastructure, and services)
- Reconcile tool-generated discovery data with stakeholder input to ensure accurate migration planning
- Define and sequence migration waves based on dependencies, business value, and risk mitigation
- Design and implement Azure hybrid network architectures (hub-and-spoke, Virtual WAN)
- Configure Azure networking components including ExpressRoute, VPN gateways, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Private Link, and DNS Zones
- Troubleshoot advanced network issues including BGP routing, asymmetric routing, MTU/fragmentation, and hybrid connectivity
- Assess and optimize Azure Landing Zones aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
- Collaborate with network service providers and infrastructure teams on routing, firewall, and DNS changes
- Prepare and execute change management packages, including rollback strategies within controlled environments (CAB)
- Leverage Azure Network Watcher, NSG flow logs, and traffic analytics for diagnostics and performance tuning
- Utilize migration tooling such as Azure Migrate and third-party platforms (Zerto, RiverMeadow, Carbonite)
- Apply Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using Terraform and/or Bicep for scalable deployments
- Develop and maintain migration runbooks, standards, and operational playbooks
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers within a migration factory model
- Engage with senior stakeholders, architects, and application owners, delivering clear communication and strategic guidance
