Top Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or a related field) and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience with IAM (users, roles, Identity Center, Control Tower) and permissions for various AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3).
- Proficient in automation tools such as Ansible, CloudFormation, and Terraform.
- Extensive experience with S3.
- On-premise and cloud data transfer experience is a plus.
- Linux OS administration experience (Windows experience is a plus).
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
- Recent experience in healthcare or life sciences organizations is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with well-developed verbal and written communication abilities.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Kubernetes Engineer to lead the engineering, implementation, and support of cloud services in support of scientific and R&D-related activities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes/EKS, along with a deep understanding of automation/DevOps toolsets and best practices. This role involves consulting on and supporting cloud solutions while ensuring adherence to security standards and best practices. The candidate will be tasked with exploring and implementing cutting-edge technologies focused on containerization and automation to enhance and secure cloud platforms while enabling business agility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IAM user security, ensuring secure access with policies, MFA, and key rotation.
- Automate IAM workflows, including policy generation, key rotation, and access reviews, using tools such as Python and Lambda.
- Develop and provide ongoing support for CloudFormation and other template frameworks.
- Support application and AWS service identity needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to engineer, implement, and migrate existing cloud applications and solutions.
- Adhere to corporate and divisional policies, maintaining compliance with applicable standards.
