Our client is seeking a Lead Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer- High-Speed Circuits to join a cutting-edge team building advanced analog and mixed-signal IP for next-generation communications and data center systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and simulate high-speed analog blocks such as ADCs, DACs, and PLLs.
- Optimize floorplans, supervise layout teams, and provide layout guidance (including hands-on layout work when needed).
- Evaluate and select circuit topologies to meet stringent performance goals in terms of power, area, linearity, and bandwidth.
- Develop test plans and collaborate with product and test engineering teams for validation and characterization.
- Follow established design flows and contribute to process improvements.
- Model analog circuits using Verilog-A/AMS for system-level simulations.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong experience with CAD tools: Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Incisive, Calibre, EMX, Totem EM/IR.
- Proven track record designing and bringing to production high-speed analog/mixed-signal IPs in deep submicron CMOS (e.g., high-speed ADCs, DACs, low-jitter PLLs).
- In-depth understanding of analog circuit methodologies, layout effects, and device physics.
- Experience with behavioral modeling (Verilog-A/AMS).
- Ability to work collaboratively with distributed design teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
- Experience with Matlab and/or optical communication theory is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of experience, or
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience.
