Network Analyst – Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Support and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, firewall, routing, and switching environments.
- Perform hands-on configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network systems in a high-availability environment.
- Monitor network performance, identify issues proactively, and implement improvements to ensure reliability and uptime.
- Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and wireless controllers.
- Manage and support Fortinet (FortiGate) firewall environments and related network security technologies.
- Administer VPN services, remote access solutions, and secure connectivity for internal and external users.
- Support Extreme Networks switching and wireless mesh infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network incidents, resolve faults, and escalate complex issues when required.
- Utilize monitoring and diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, packet analyzers, and other network management platforms.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, upgrades, patching, and operational support activities.
- Monitor security logs, investigate anomalies, and assist with network security compliance and best practices.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, operational procedures, configurations, and diagrams.
- Work closely with airport stakeholders, tenants, vendors, and airline partners to support networking requirements.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies including VLANs, STP, HSRP, IP Routing, NAT, VPN, SNMP, RADIUS/TACACS+, and Wireless Networking.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and able to work onsite within a secure airport environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls and Extreme Networks switching/wireless technologies.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and service operations best practices.
- CCNP Networking, CCNP Wireless, ITIL, or related certifications considered an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
