Quality Assurance Engineer (MuleSoft API Testing)

About the Role

Myticas is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with experience in MuleSoft API testing to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our rapidly evolving integration ecosystem. This role is ideal for a QA professional who has hands-on experience validating API integrations and middleware solutions in an Agile development environment.

As part of our Quality Assurance team, you will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality integration solutions while maintaining robust testing standards throughout the software development lifecycle.

$35-40 per hour 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for MuleSoft APIs, endpoints, and middleware integrations.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of API services.
• Validate API functionality using tools such as Postman, MUnit, or SoapUI.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure quality is built into every release.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Maintain accurate test documentation, test cases, and test results.
• Support continuous improvement of QA processes and testing methodologies.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience testing MuleSoft APIs and API integration pipelines.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services, and middleware integration testing.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, MUnit, or SoapUI.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for defect tracking and documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation for APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration testing best practices.
• Understanding of software quality assurance methodologies and SDLC processes.
