Our Banking client in Toronto is seeking a Business Analyst / Finance Operations SME to provide hands-on business analysis and subject-matter expertise for a Wealth Management transformation program within the CFO/Finance workstream. This is a HYBRID contract in Tortonto.
The consultant will assess finance operations processes, identify gaps, support testing activities and provide expertise across financial operations, chart of accounts, firm balancing and reconciliation functions. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, finance teams and testing workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current finance operations processes and identify gaps or missing requirements.
- Provide subject-matter expertise across Wealth Management and Finance Operations.
- Support financial operations, chart of accounts, firm balancing and reconciliation activities.
- Collaborate with business, finance, technology and testing stakeholders.
- Support UAT, SIT, business readiness and enterprise testing activities.
- Develop and review test scenarios and test cases.
- Validate finance and operational business processes through testing.
- Support defect management and issue resolution.
- Trace business requirements through to testing outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting large-scale financial services transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of Finance Operations functions within banking or wealth management environments.
- Strong knowledge of Wealth and Asset Management operations.
- Experience working within Canadian banking environments.
- Understanding of investment products, portfolios, wealth operations and related finance processes.
- Ability to bridge business and technology stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Hands-on experience supporting UAT, SIT and enterprise testing programs.
- Experience developing test scenarios and test cases and validating business processes.
- Knowledge of defect management and issue-resolution processes.
- Ability to work onsite in Toronto.
- Must be based in Canada.
Previous experience supporting wealth management transformation programs is preferred.
