MuleSoft Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Developer to support the Public Assistance project. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API-led connectivity, enterprise integration patterns, DataWeave, and CI/CD.

A key requirement for this role is demonstrated expertise with QL – Agent Orchestrator and the ability to design and maintain complex orchestration workflows across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

• API & Integration Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and integration flows using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, Runtime Manager, API Manager, and Exchange.

• Agent Orchestration: Implement and maintain orchestration workflows using agent orchestration tools, including QL – Agent Orchestrator, to manage complex, multi-system transaction sequences.

• API-Led Connectivity: Develop scalable, reusable integration architectures using Experience, Process, and System APIs to support Public Assistance systems.

• Data Transformation: Create and maintain DataWeave 2.0 transformations for JSON, XML, CSV, and other complex payload formats across disparate government and enterprise systems.

• Testing & Deployment: Develop automated unit and integration tests using MUnit and support CI/CD deployment pipelines to CloudHub, Runtime Fabric (RTF), and/or on-premises environments.

• Monitoring & Maintenance: Configure custom logging, exception strategies, standardized error-handling models, and proactive monitoring using Anypoint Monitoring and Visualizer.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to troubleshoot integration issues and deliver reliable solutions.

• Follow established development, security, documentation, testing, and deployment standards.

Required Qualifications

Citizenship & Clearance

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Candidates must disclose dual citizenship status prior to submission.

• No clearance is required initially.

• Candidate must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance if requested.

Technical Requirements

• QL – Agent Orchestrator expertise is mandatory.

• Extensive hands-on experience developing with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Mule 4.x runtime.

• Strong proficiency in DataWeave 2.0.

• Strong knowledge of Java/J2EE.

• Experience working with RAML and/or OpenAPI Specification (OAS).

• Strong understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP).

• Experience with messaging technologies including Anypoint MQ, JMS, and/or Kafka.

• Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST, and SOAP web services.

• Hands-on experience with MUnit for MuleSoft testing.

• Experience with Maven and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and/or GitLab CI/CD.

• Proficiency with Git and modern source-control practices.

• Experience deploying and supporting Mule applications in CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, and/or on-premises environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD) – Level 1 or higher.

• Previous experience delivering technology solutions for U.S. Federal Government agencies.

• Experience working in government or highly regulated environments.

• Experience with complex enterprise integration and multi-system orchestration initiatives.
