Myticas Consulting is seeking a Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer / Team Lead for a short-term consulting engagement with a major banking client.

This role will lead the technical assessment and improvement of an enterprise Azure data platform built primarily on Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory. The successful consultant will evaluate the platform’s resiliency, disaster recovery capabilities, security, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD practices and operational readiness, then help define and implement a prioritized remediation plan.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role suited to someone who can assess complex cloud environments, identify risks and gaps, communicate findings clearly to stakeholders, and lead remediation activities through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical assessment of an enterprise Azure data platform

  • Review Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory architecture and configurations

  • Assess platform resiliency, reliability, disaster recovery and backup capabilities

  • Review Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code assets

  • Assess and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices

  • Evaluate monitoring, security and operational-readiness capabilities

  • Identify technical, resiliency, security and recovery gaps

  • Develop prioritized recommendations and remediation work packages

  • Lead and participate in implementation of approved remediation activities

  • Coordinate technical activities across engineering and stakeholder teams

  • Validate implemented improvements and document technical outcomes

  • Produce updated technical and operational documentation

  • Support knowledge transfer and operational handover

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics

  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory

  • Strong Azure data platform architecture experience

  • Experience assessing production platforms for reliability, disaster recovery, security and operational readiness

  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Azure Infrastructure as Code

  • Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines

  • Strong understanding of Azure resiliency, backup and disaster recovery practices

  • Demonstrated technical leadership or team-lead experience

  • Ability to translate technical findings into a prioritized delivery and remediation plan

  • Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder-management skills

  • Bilingual French and English

Ideal Candidate

The ideal consultant is a senior Azure engineer who combines deep hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership and client-facing skills. You should be comfortable moving between architecture assessment, detailed technical remediation and stakeholder communication while helping guide an engineering team through a focused delivery engagement.
