Job Title: Data Engineering Specialist, Manufacturing

Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive data solutions to enhance production efficiency using real-time data insights.
- Lead decisions on technology stacks and third-party tools.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for various manufacturing systems.
- Manage data warehouses and lakes, ensuring accessibility and thorough documentation for all users.
- Create web-based tools to automate data collection and reporting processes, reducing manual efforts.
- Support technical staff in building and maintaining data portals, dashboards, and performance reports.
- Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, operational technology, and QA teams to align data solutions with organizational needs.
- Integrate manufacturing systems with ERP platforms and Oracle Agile.
- Stay informed about industry trends to continuously improve data infrastructure.
- Prioritize practical, outcome-driven solutions that support manufacturing and business objectives.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a focus on Data Science or Data Engineering.
- Advanced expertise in data engineering tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, ETL processes, BI tools, and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong, practical knowledge of data modeling for enterprise-level applications.
- Experience in designing and developing basic web-based applications, emphasizing user-friendly and responsive functionality.
- Familiarity with key manufacturing metrics and operational performance measurements.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering.
- Proven experience in developing and managing data pipelines, integrating data sources, and implementing data warehousing solutions, including optimizing database performance for scalability and efficiency.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing data models for data warehousing, with proficiency in developing star and snowflake schemas, optimizing data structures, and ensuring data integrity for analytics and reporting.
- At least 4 years of experience creating data visualizations and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP, and SCADA.
