Myticas, LLC is currently seeking an Data Scientist Analyst for a contract position with our direct client based in Chicago, IL. (Remote During Covid-19).

TOP REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience and strength with at least one programming language, one of C# or Python required.
  • Experience with implementing machine intelligence algorithms and model implementation using agile practices preferred.
  • Experience in the systems development, implementation, and deployment of a large-scale, enterprise systems within a development team.

NICE TO HAVE (BUT NOT REQUIRED) SKILLS:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry preferred.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical industry desired.
  • Experience in Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence methodologies also an advantage.

Job Description: 

The Data Analyst, Data Analytics and Informatics is an individual contributor to the development, maintenance, enhancement, and deployment of new or existing smart factory models and data applications in manufacturing, providing specialized technical and business knowledge to projects.

It partners with BTS personnel to implement data mappings and statistical data models using agile methodology, while aligning to global standards and best practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Configures, develops, and creates new statistical data models to collect, correlate, and analyze data for business insights.
  • Skilled at univariate and multivariate data analysis. Can quickly learn to read, understand, and update existing models, develop reusable components, implement automated testing, ensuring rapid analytics lifecycle.
  • Responds to questions regarding current and potential system and data inputs, processes, and outputs. Driven by detailed business user requirements, design documentation – develops univariate data mappings and multivariate models.
  • Ensures current and accurate system and data documentation, can participate in testing of system modifications, both validated and non-validated systems.
  • Complete projects/ tasks within time and budget constraints. Document and mitigate technology development project issues and risks. Effectively monitor and control project scope for assigned tasks. Escalate when appropriate to BTS management. Communicate project progress to all appropriate stakeholders as directed by project management personnel.
  • Work is performed and technical decisions are made with a clear direction from SMEs from the business as well as BTS.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of hands-on experience with statistical packages / languages such as R, SPSS, SAS, MatLab, or MiniTab
  • College degree in Data Analytics and Informatics, Statistics, Mechanical Engineering, Statistical Process Control, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of statistics – such as linear models, general regression methods, variability, distributional types, and characteristics.
  • Bayesian methods will be useful.
  • Experience in agile development as part of a devops environment preferred.
