What You'll Do:

Architect, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure in AWS using IaC tools such as Terraform
Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters, supporting application scaling, deployment, and orchestration
Develop, refine, and maintain event-driven data pipelines using modern tools and practices
Implement and manage Argo Workflows to automate and orchestrate complex jobs and services
Collaborate cross-functionally to design APIs, optimize database performance, and ensure service resilience
Support CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for rapid, secure deployments
Monitor production systems using Grafana and related tools to ensure performance and uptime
Champion cybersecurity compliance, disaster recovery planning, and DevOps best practices
Participate in architectural reviews and promote continuous improvement within the development lifecycle
Provide mentorship and conduct peer code reviews to uphold code quality and team alignment

Your Toolkit Should Include:

Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, S3, RDS, CloudFront, SQS, SES
Strong Python and SQL development skills (preferably PostgreSQL and Alembic for migrations)
Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, Linux-based environments, and reverse proxies like Nginx
Familiarity with Argo Workflows, and optionally Apache Airflow or similar tools
Experience with ETL/ELT workflows and tools such as DBT or Kafka
TDD (Test-Driven Development) and Git-based workflows in Agile Scrum teams
Proven ability in system monitoring and observability using Grafana or equivalent

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of professional experience in backend/cloud/DevOps roles
Legally entitled to work in Canada and eligible for Government of Canada security clearance
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
