Our client is seeking a Manitoba-based Disaster Recovery Manager for a full-time, hybrid one-year contract in Winnipeg. This role involves leading and managing disaster recovery procedures and testing for both applications and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have significant expertise in disaster recovery management, procedure development, and testing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and testing of disaster recovery (DR) procedures for applications and infrastructure.
- Act as the Disaster Recovery program owner/lead.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure DR strategies align with business continuity requirements.
- Manage and coordinate disaster recovery plans to ensure preparedness for potential risks.
- Document, review, and improve DR processes in alignment with industry best practices.
- Provide recommendations to enhance disaster resilience based on testing outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in disaster recovery management, including procedure development and testing.
- Familiarity with Veeam is considered an asset.
- Previous experience as a Disaster Recovery program owner/lead is preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
