Myticas's direct client, located in North Chicago, IL, is seeking a skilled UX/UI Designer for a hybrid, contract position. This role involves designing intuitive, enterprise-level applications with complex workflows, as well as interfaces for mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in user-centered design processes, including UX research and wireframing, paired with practical UI design expertise, particularly in Figma. Key Responsibilities
- User-Centered Design: Conduct user research, define requirements, brainstorm solutions, and rapidly prototype.
- High-Fidelity Prototyping & UI Development: Create and refine UI designs in Figma, ensuring pixel-perfect accuracy for both enterprise and mobile applications.
- Wireframing & Mockups: Develop low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts effectively to stakeholders and team members.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with project managers, software engineers, and other UX designers to ensure seamless handoff of design specifications and maintain design quality throughout implementation.
- UX Research & Testing: Plan and execute user research (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys), analyze findings, and iterate designs based on user feedback.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Translate business requirements into compelling user journeys, present design rationales, and gather feedback from leadership and client stakeholders.
- Autonomy & Initiative: Take ownership of design tasks, manage workloads independently, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the overall user experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, UI Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Experience with UX research methodologies, including usability testing, user interviews, and surveys, as well as a strong understanding of design thinking principles.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with stakeholders, project managers, and software engineers.
- Exceptional attention to detail in fast-paced enterprise environments with complex workflows and multiple screens.
