Job Description

Myticas's direct client, based in New York City, NY, is seeking an Event Manager for a fully remote contract position. This role will assist the Associate Director in executing event plans to support the team’s goals and contribute to the overall growth of the client’s event portfolio.

The Event Manager will be responsible for planning and managing various events, including internal sales meetings, executive events, user conferences, and incentive programs. These events aim to enhance brand presence, educate stakeholders, and drive revenue expansion. The role involves overseeing event logistics, supporting the development of event project plans, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

The ideal candidate is highly creative, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. They must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, discretion, patience, and the ability to work under pressure. This position also involves managing vendors, partners, and other third-party relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Associate Director in achieving the team’s goals and objectives.
  • Support the planning, execution, and post-event reconciliation of corporate events, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
  • Contribute to event strategy development, managing all aspects from planning to execution.
  • Oversee specific event logistics to ensure seamless production and delivery.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with vendors and event partners, including contract negotiations and payment processing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in event planning and execution, including event management, branding, and onsite logistics.
  • Experience with Cvent Event Management and SMM platforms is preferred.
  • Strong background in supplier strategy and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, collaborate effectively, and drive problem-solving initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate diplomatically and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
