PLM Data Consultant

Contract – 12 months with likely extension/s

Hybrid – Onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Location – Buena Park, CA

Clover Consulting has a large, direct client seeking a PLM Data Consultant. This is a hybrid work requirement, asking 2 days a week onsite, three remote. This is a 12 month contract with great chance for multiple extensions.

Using leading edge Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), systems such as Siemens Teamcenter and Interspec, this role works cross-functionally to ensure critical product data is accurately identified, captured, and integrated for use across the enterprise.

The role is a critical enabler of digital transformation, particularly in the design, development, manufacturing and sourcing of new products that fuel the success of core brand and contract customers around the world.

How you would contribute to the role:

You will be part of a high-functioning team that supports the full product development lifecycle, ensuring the design, development, and delivery of high-quality products – a hallmark of the core-line consumables and durables products sold worldwide. Working collaboratively with cross functional new product development teams, your contributions will guide projects through their design and maintenance in the PLM system, making sure accurate product data is captured and delivered to business partners, both internally and with external customers and suppliers, to meet the needs of our aggressive product launch goals. Additional oversight of product details and changes in the system, through production and release, will be essential to meeting timelines and production demands. Your systems experience, collaboration, coordination skills, keen attention to detail, and business process compliance will greatly contribute to team success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear input to project teams on schedule, issues, and deliverables related to product data and product specification management
  • Initiate and control the implementation of changes to product data
  • Monitor ongoing work queue to ensure timely delivery of business sustaining product data changes
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for organizational business process and technical solutions
  • Identify and mitigate risk to maintain a consistent supply chain, regulatory compliance, and data quality
  • Act as a stakeholder advocate, trainer, and mentor for PLM best practices, methods, and processes
  • Assist PLM end-users with technical problem solving, product data reporting, and portfolio management
  • Interface with all key internal and external customers to accurately process changes and structure new product data records

What skills and background will be important to be successful:

  • Minimum BS degree with one year of related industry experience
  • Experience coordinating or participating in knowledge management or data capture and reporting systems and processes
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with interest to apply these skills to product data and related business processes
  • Demonstrated strong communication and English language skills that will enable you to work successfully in a global, cross-functional business environment

What skills are strongly preferred:

  • Experience with Siemens PLM software suite or similar PLM applications highly desired
  • Experience with New Product Development (NPD) processes and systems, preferably in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry
