Our Finance institution client is looking for an experienced Project Management Specialist for a long term HYBRID contract in Ottawa. This is a high-visibility role supporting enterprise initiatives through the full project lifecycle, from planning to post-deployment transition. This contract requires a Goverment of Canada Secuirty clearance – at the reliability level.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead planning, execution, and delivery of strategic IT projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies

Oversee solution selection, configuration, implementation, and transition to operations

Manage project plans, risks, issues, interdependencies, and stakeholder communications

Track and report on project metrics, timelines, and deliverables using tools like JIRA/Confluence
-
Coordinate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and resource managers to ensure alignment

Support development of supporting documentation, workshop materials, and executive briefings

Organize and manage project documentation and change tracking
Required Qualifications:

University degree or diploma in IT, Business, or a related field

Minimum 5 years’ technical experience in IT (software development, infrastructure, or database)

At least 5 years of project management experience on medium-to-large projects

5+ years experience using Agile or hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) delivery methods

Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and communicate across organizational levels

Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills
Additional Assets:

PMI-PBA, PMP, or Scrum Master certification

Experience supporting IT teams in fast-paced, parallel initiative environment
