Senior Project Management Specialist – Cyber Security (IAM Focus)
Location: Ottawa (Hybrid)
Security Clearance Requirement: Level 2 Secret Security Clearance
Our Ottawa-based client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Management Specialist to oversee Cyber Security projects and initiatives, with a primary focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM). This role involves managing complex systems, processes, and stakeholders across IT portfolios, ensuring successful project delivery through effective methodologies and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Cyber Security projects focused on IAM, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and deliverables.
- Develop and present project proposals, implementation plans, and status updates.
- Prioritize and coordinate project activities to meet defined objectives.
- Manage change requests and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Define and monitor success metrics to track adoption and transformation progress.
- Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to align requirements and achieve project goals.
- Facilitate Agile practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Provide regular updates on progress and value delivery to IAM management and project sponsors.
- Ensure the timely completion of all project deliverables and related documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- A university degree or college diploma in computer science, engineering, or business administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in information security and IT.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing medium-to-large Cyber Security implementation projects.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business needs into actionable project objectives.
- Exceptional technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Proven expertise in facilitation, problem resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience conducting workshops and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP Certification.
- Certified Agile Leader or Kanban Management Professional (KMP).
- Hands-on experience in Cyber Security and IAM domains.
- Familiarity with the client’s core business processes and functions.
- Advanced verbal, written communication, and facilitation skills.
Note: This is a hybrid role requiring a Level 2 Secret Security Clearance.
