Myticas Consulting is seeking an experienced Technical Lead for a short-term contract engagement supporting a Core Banking Assessment for a large Canadian financial institution. This role will involve both strategic and technical contributions and will be delivered in two phases: current state evaluation and future state solution recommendation.
Project Overview:
The engagement will support a Core Banking Assessment project structured in two phases:
Phase 1 – Current & Target State Assessment:
- Understand the client’s strategy and identify supporting core banking capabilities.
- Define the target state core banking capability model.
- Assess the current state of each capability, platforms in use, and gaps.
- Recommend potential solutions to enhance/augment each capability.
Phase 2 – Solution Fit & Business Case:
- Conduct a market scan of available core banking solution providers.
- Identify and assess best-fit solutions.
- Build a detailed business case for the selected core banking platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders and technical teams.
- Translate executive strategy into defined banking capabilities.
- Capture current state maturity and identify platform inefficiencies.
- Analyze technical complexities of core banking systems.
- Provide solution recommendations and market insights.
- Develop a business case aligned with the organization’s strategy.
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking/financial services.
- Strong understanding of core banking systems and platforms.
- Familiarity with infrastructure, architecture, integration, and IT operations.
- Experience with vendor management, IT risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to bridge business strategy and technical execution.
Work Model:
Hybrid – based in Toronto, with 2–3 days per week in office
