Fluent Commerce OMS Technical Lead (Europe – Remote)

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Fluent Commerce OMS solutions within enterprise retail and eCommerce environments.
  • Proven expertise leading end-to-end Order Management System (OMS) implementations, enhancements, integrations, and production support initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Distributed Order Management (DOM) including order orchestration, fulfillment sourcing, inventory visibility, order routing, and inventory optimization.
  • Deep understanding of the complete order lifecycle, including order creation, fulfillment, cancellations, returns, exchanges, refunds, and inventory reconciliation processes.
  • Experience designing and implementing omnichannel fulfillment models including BOPIS (Buy Online Pickup In Store), Ship-from-Store, Click-and-Collect, Split Shipments, and Distributed Fulfillment.
  • Strong technical leadership experience providing architecture guidance, solution design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring development and integration teams.
  • Expertise designing and supporting REST APIs, JSON integrations, webhooks, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Fluent Commerce with enterprise platforms including SAP, Oracle, WMS solutions, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce (Magento), CRM platforms, loyalty systems, and payment gateways.
  • Strong understanding of modern microservices-based and API-first architectures supporting scalable, cloud-native commerce ecosystems.
  • Experience building and supporting high-volume, mission-critical retail platforms with a focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to facilitate technical workshops, architecture sessions, solution reviews, and stakeholder discussions with both technical and business audiences.
  • Experience operating within Agile/Scrum delivery environments, including sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and release management activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis, and production incident management capabilities within complex distributed systems.
  • Ability to work directly with clients, gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and provide trusted advisory leadership throughout delivery.
  • Previous consulting or client-facing experience with the ability to contribute to solutioning, project estimation, statements of work (SOWs), and pre-sales engagements.
  • Exposure to modern cloud and infrastructure technologies including AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-based integration patterns.
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership presence, and the ability to drive delivery across geographically distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Hands-on technical lead who can balance architecture, design, stakeholder engagement, and execution, while remaining close enough to the technology to guide development teams effectively.
