Clover Consulting has a direct client in Grand Rapids, MI in need of an Art Director/Graphic Designer for a 12 months, on-site, contract role. The job details are below:
Role Overview:
We are seeking a confident, experienced, and hands-on Art Director/Graphic Designer for a one-year contract role focused on graphic design and art direction with the ability to do some motion graphics and editing. The ideal candidate is a versatile creator who can do both design and direct concepting ideas, designing and producing motion graphics as needed. They will collaborate closely with the cross-functional team to ensure all deliverables meet brand standards, project goals, and work within the varying timelines. A strong portfolio in graphic design and art direction along with clear communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with focus in Fine Arts, Graphic Design or similar field of study
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in graphic design and art direction, or similar field
- A strong portfolio of professional content, with individual contributions clearly attributed per project.
- Demonstrated experience working with holistic campaigns from concept to execution
- Strong experience in digital mediums and channels, content trends and best practices, social campaigns, etc.
- Excellent working knowledge of applied principles of graphic design, including color, composition and typography.
- Ability to solve complex problems as they relate to visual design.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite. Must have expert knowledge in: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Experience in animation software: Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere
