Security Systems Lead (Technical – Access Control & Video Systems)

Own and operate airport security systems including access control (C•CURE) and video management systems (Milestone VMS)
Act as primary technical lead responsible for system uptime, reliability, and incident response
Provide hands-on troubleshooting, configuration, and system optimization (hardware + software)
Lead security technology projects ranging from $100K to multi-million dollar initiatives
Serve as the main point of contact for system issues (direct escalation, not ticket queue driven)
Manage vendor relationships, escalations, and third-party service providers
Collaborate closely with IT teams (dotted-line relationship) for infrastructure and support alignment
Liaise across airport operations, leadership, and stakeholders to ensure system performance
Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and operational teams
Support system upgrades, implementations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in procurement, RFP/RFQ processes, and technology evaluations
Monitor and respond to real-time system failures and critical incidents
Maintain documentation, reporting, and system performance tracking
Ensure compliance with security standards and operational requirements
Operate in a hands-on capacity (~70% technical / 30% project & stakeholder management)

Have a valid driver’s license (Ontario Class G or equivalent)
