We are seeking an experienced Network Management System (NMS) Developer to lead the design, development, and evolution of next-generation network management solutions for a cutting-edge telecommunications platform. This role is responsible for designing scalable NMS applications, integrating industry-standard technologies, and ensuring reliable network operations through automation, security, and modern software engineering practices.
Working within an Agile SAFe environment, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality network management capabilities supporting complex carrier-grade networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Network Management System (NMS) applications.
- Design and implement scalable solutions for managing network resources, services, alarms, and performance.
- Develop and maintain YANG data models for network configuration and management.
- Evaluate, integrate, and collaborate with third-party NMS vendors and technology partners.
- Design and maintain automated testing frameworks supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system integration, implementation, and network issues.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture specifications, and design artifacts.
- Define and implement security best practices to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Contribute to system architecture, interface definitions, and operational concepts (CONOPS).
- Work closely with software, systems, and operations teams to ensure seamless platform integration.
- Identify opportunities to improve overall network architecture, performance, reliability, and automation.
- Participate in Agile SAFe ceremonies and contribute to successful release planning and execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of experience developing carrier-grade Network Management Systems (NMS), EMS, or network automation solutions.
- Strong understanding of NMS architecture, design principles, and interoperable network management systems.
- Experience with modern network management protocols and technologies including:
- NETCONF / RESTCONF
- gRPC / gNMI
- gNOI
- YANG
- UML
- Experience designing automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams.
