Clover Consulting has a direct client in Grand Rapids, MI in need of a Production Supervisor with a solid understanding of manufacturing operations, people management, and continuous improvement. Role:  Production Supervisor – Manufacturing
Term: 12 months contract to hire
Target rate: $30/hr W2
Shift: 1st shift – On-Site in Grand Rapids, MI (6am-4pm depending on volume)

Supporting Meaningful Work

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage a production division from raw materials to finished product, ensuring schedules are met
  • Lead and develop a team of 20–30 hourly employees, focusing on performance, training, and development
  • Participate in a leadership rotational program
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers to control costs and meet corporate goals
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations
  • Drive quality improvements and customer satisfaction
  • Provide coverage for Operations Managers and lead special projects as needed
  • Maintain flexibility to move between manufacturing areas based on business needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of proven leadership and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong initiative and ability to work under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree or military equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with engineering methods and capacity analysis
  • Lean manufacturing
  • Ability to adapt quickly and lead through change
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects
