Our client is seeking an experienced QA Lead – Integration & Systems Testing to lead quality assurance efforts for a large-scale enterprise integration program within the banking sector.

This is a true QA leadership role focused on defining and driving the overall testing strategy—not simply executing test cases. The successful consultant will establish end-to-end testing processes, lead QA activities across multiple workstreams, and ensure quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the end-to-end QA strategy for functional, integration, regression, and non-functional testing.
• Design test scenarios for APIs, ETL processes, Kafka event streams, and AWS Lambda integrations.
• Lead QA activities across SIT, UAT, regression, and production readiness.
• Develop traceability between business requirements, test cases, and defects.
• Validate source-to-target data mapping and data integrity across integration points.
• Manage test environments, test data, and entry/exit criteria.
• Partner with Business Analysts, Technical Leads, and Project Managers to identify quality risks early.
• Manage defect lifecycle using Jira, Zephyr, or similar tools.

Required Experience

• 6+ years of Quality Assurance experience.
• Minimum 2 years leading QA teams or QA strategy.
• Strong experience testing:
  • System Integrations
  • REST APIs
  • ETL Pipelines
  • Event-driven architectures
• Experience with:
  • Postman
  • RestAssured (or similar)
  • Kafka / messaging platforms
  • SQL data validation
  • Data mapping validation
• Experience with Jira, Zephyr, or equivalent test management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking or Financial Services experience.
• API or Integration Test Automation.
• AWS experience, including Lambda and event-driven architectures.
