What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Quality Technician to be the first line of defense for the quality of our packaging. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for initial visual inspection for our packaging components, and for transporting packaging samples to the lab for logging, testing, and analysis. Your workday will be active and take place primarily on our manufacturing floor. You’ll partner with our warehouse team to access and sample various packaging components, including cartons, cardboard, jars, labels, and pumps. You’ll then use a checklist on a mobile computer to conduct on-the-spot visual quality inspections, and bring samples back to our lab for final logging. A key part of your role will involve driving a company or personal vehicle to travel between our local facilities. Your performance in this role will be graded on your timely delivery of the samples to the lab, and the accuracy of your initial visual inspections. This position offers a path for growth, with the opportunity to indirectly lead the group of contract samplers by providing daily direction, priority, and collaborating to optimize the sampling processes currently
in place.
Qualifications:
Preferred 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility doing visual inspections of components or products.
High School Diploma or GED
Skills to be Successful in the Role:
Demonstrated high attention to detail
Ability to legally drive a company or personal vehicle
Ability to use simple tools and pallet jacks
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
