Salesforce Technical Architect
Job Title: Salesforce Technical Architect (Active Tier 2 GSA Clearance)
Location: Remote
Clearance: Active Tier 2 GSA Clearance Required
Certifications: Salesforce Application and/or System Architect (Highly Preferred)
Key Responsibilities
● CTI/IVR Engineering: Architect the integration between Salesforce and
Amazon Connect using Service Cloud Voice. Design complex Contact Flows in
Amazon Connect to handle intelligent routing, queuing, and automated self-
service.
● Voice Integration: Lead the technical configuration of Amazon Connect
Lambda functions to query Salesforce data in real-time, enabling personalized
IVR experiences and data-driven routing.
● Security & Compliance: Ensure all voice data, call recordings, and
transcriptions meet FedRAMP High and GSA-specific security requirements,
including encryption at rest and in transit.
● Technical Governance: Design the end-to-end data flow between Salesforce
and AWS (Amazon Web Services), ensuring low-latency synchronization and
robust error handling for “screen pops” and agent softphones.
● Performance Engineering: Establish monitoring and logging standards across
both platforms to troubleshoot SIP signaling, latency issues, and API bottlenecks.
● Technical Leadership: Guide development teams through the full SDLC,
providing architectural oversight and performing code/config reviews to ensure
scalability and performance.
● Stakeholder Management: Translate complex technical concepts into
actionable insights for IRS stakeholders and executive leadership.
Technical Skills
● Expertise in Salesforce integration patterns and tools (MuleSoft, Informatica, or
similar).
● Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Copado,
Gearset, or Azure DevOps).
● Proven ability to design for large-scale data volumes and complex sharing
modelsRequired Qualifications
● Clearance: Must hold an active IRS MBI or Public Trust clearance at the
time of application.
● Experience:10+ years in IT, with 5+ years as a Salesforce Technical Architect
and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Connect.
● Salesforce Expertise: Deep knowledge of Sales, Service, and Experience
Clouds, as well as Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, and Flow.
● Certifications:
○ Required: Salesforce Certified Administrator & Platform Developer I.
○ Required: At least one Architect-level certification (e.g., Certified Sharing
and Exposure Architect, Data Architect).
○ Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
