Our client is seeking a Senior Network Support Specialist to support enterprise network operations, infrastructure modernization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The preferred work arrangement is hybrid with approximately 8 onsite days per month in Ottawa. Fully remote candidates may be considered; however, hybrid availability is preferred.

The consultant may occasionally be required to support activities outside regular business hours, including evenings or weekends for deployments, maintenance windows, or operational requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support for enterprise network environments
• Support network evergreening, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cross-functional technical issues
• Participate in production deployment validation, performance testing, failover testing, vulnerability remediation, and disaster recovery activities
• Analyze existing network environments to identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities
• Define and implement upgrades and changes to support operational requirements and business needs
• Provide support across production and non-production environments
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, development, and operational teams

Required Skills:

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years recent experience in network environments including:
  • Testing
  • Operations
  • Development
  • Integration
• Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies:
  • Cisco switching
  • Cisco routing platforms
  • Cisco Nexus 9K
  • Nexus 9300 series
  • Cisco 6508
  • Cisco APIC
• Experience with Azure Cloud Networking
• Strong IT Operations experience including:
  • Monitoring
  • Troubleshooting
  • Operational support
  • Enterprise network management
• Experience supporting full development lifecycle activities
• Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) processes
• Experience supporting scalable and highly available service-oriented architectures
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments

• Check Point firewall experience
• Previous financial services / government experience
• Existing Secret Clearance
