Solutions Architect (Azure / DevOps)

Our Ottawa-based banking client is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and application delivery initiatives within a high-security, enterprise environment. This is a long-term contract with a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
- Document system architecture, workflows, and processes (Confluence)
- Ensure availability, performance, and security of infrastructure and applications
- Optimize infrastructure and deployment processes for reliability and efficiency
- Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud resources (IaC)
- Manage multiple environments (Dev, Test, Prod) ensuring consistency
- Design and deploy containerized applications
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Utilize JIRA for Agile delivery tracking and sprint management
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver solutions
Required Experience
- 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services
- 5+ years building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git)
- Experience with Dynamics 365 environments
- Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
- Experience in Agile environments (JIRA, Confluence)
- Strong communication skills (technical + business)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Nice to Have
- Experience within financial institutions or regulated environments
- Knowledge of Bank of Canada operations
- French language skills
