The team at Myticas Consilting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security and Compliance Specialist to oversee various security-related functions within our organization, including corporate security, facilities security, access control, personnel security clearances, and contract security.

The ideal candidate will also be responsible for daily involvement in corporate business continuity planning, risk management activities, and the development and maintenance of security governance and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Security Management:

    • Develop and implement corporate security policies and procedures to safeguard company assets, personnel, and information.
    • Coordinate security measures across all company facilities and locations to ensure consistent protection and compliance with regulations.
    • Manage access control systems and protocols to restrict unauthorized entry and ensure the security of sensitive areas.
  • Business Continuity Planning and Risk Management:

    • Lead daily involvement in corporate business continuity planning and risk management activities.
    • Oversee the development and maintenance of business continuity plans, disaster recovery plans, and incident response procedures.
    • Participate in Change Advisory Board activities to assess and mitigate security risks associated with changes to IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Security Governance and Compliance:

    • Develop and maintain security governance frameworks to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Manage certifications including ISO 27001, 27017/18, and SOC 2 Type II, ensuring ongoing compliance and adherence to security best practices.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
  • Security Awareness and Training:

    • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on security risks, policies, and best practices.
    • Promote a culture of security awareness and vigilance throughout the organization through regular communication and training initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Secret Clearance or eligibility for one is required.
  • Three (3) plus years of experience in one or more of the following areas: company security, corporate security, facilities security, access control, personnel security clearances, contract security, business continuity planning, risk management, security governance, policy development, compliance management.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are preferred.
